From 10th to 12th November 2017 the EPFL ArtLab hosted the fourth Swiss edition of Museomix. Following the three days, on Monday 13 November, we organized a day dedicated to museum and culture professionals, around the theme of “Museums and digital cultures: how to create participation and innovation?”.

Cocktail reception and networking at the EPFL ArtLab
Through her experience with museums and local authorities in France, Juliette Giraud has created a consulting business in development of cultural projects. She supports the development of Museomix since 2012 through coordination. She advises on development strategy and community building. She leads the collaboration project between Museomix and Creative Museum and also The Making Museum.
Caroline Hirt co-directs with Christian Etter, the Museum of Digital Arts in Zurich. Together, they produced several exhibitions in Asia and Europe, worked for institutions as the Centre Pompidou and the Art Museum of Shanghai and they also take part into various digital art projects. They share common backgrounds in digital media, science, technology and journalism.
Born in 1967, he studied to be an engineer at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, and then to be a journalist. He worked as a reporter for the Journal de Genève, and then for Télévision Suisse Romande, where he presented the news. His independent work led him to become the Artistic Director before joining the EPFL as the deputy of the President for the communication. In 2007, he founded the EPFL+ECAL Lab.
Art historian and curator, Marco Costantini is a curator at the Mudac, the Musée de design et d’arts appliqués contemporains in Lausanne. He organized Covering the Wall (2010), Nirvana (2015) and Mirror Mirror (2017). He was previously project manager for the Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts in Lausanne.
